National Schools' Fire Safety Week, 4th -8th October 2010
Schools throughout the country are being invited to take part in National Schools' Fire Safety Week which this year focuses on the topic 'Matches & Lighters: Tools not toys'.
The campaign is led by Neenaw the fire engine, and will teach children valuable fire safety lessons, encouraging them to take a responsible attitude to the dangers of fire which one day may save their lives.

The very best of the fire services were awarded at the Charity's annual Spirit of Fire Awards on June 4th.
The awards ceremony was hosted by BBC newsreader Nicholas Owen and celebrities from the world of sport and entertainment also showed their support to the UK’s world class fire service.
