Could your fire station top our UK league?! The Fire Fighters Charity is holding a competition to see which fire station can collect the greatest amount of unwanted clothing during the month of January 2012. By recycling these in your station's Fire Fighters Charity textile bank, the charity will log how much is collected, and the winning fire station at the end of the month will receive a fabulous New Years Hamper for the whole team!
The Charity receives a generous donation for all clothing recycled in our textile banks, which provides funds to continue supporting serving and retired fire service personnel and their dependents in times of need.
Fire & Rescue HQ's - we have a separate competition for you, so if you have a Fire Fighters Charity textile bank...start collecting!!
For more information on how to take part contact Kevin Biles at kbiles@firefighterscharity.org.uk or call 01256 366 566 / 07825 176 323
Work is underway to build a fantastic new therapy wing at Marine Court in Littlehampton! Our roving reporter and the centre’s Sheltered Accommodation Supervisor, Pat Long, is keeping tabs on the development for us. It’s a very busy and exciting time for everyone at Marine Court, however the Ronnie Greene Wing remains open for business as usual. Our thanks go to the many visitors that have given us such positive feedback after using the services and facilities during the current phase of redevelopment.
To see what’s going on and find out how we are enhancing the centre’s existing recuperation facilities click the 'find out more' button at the bottom of the page.
